Financial Aid

Students (graduate and post-docs) from underrepresented groups (NSF definition) are eligible to apply for financial aid. Eligible applicants need to submit a short essay (maximum one page) explaining how you expect to benefit from the workshop and how you intend to implement metabolomics in your research. In addition, a letter from your supervisor is required to confirm your status. Please e-mail both documents to Dr. Sixue Chen before April 10, 2020. If you are chosen to receive financial aid, we will waive the registration fees and possibly provide a limited number of travel awards to defray travel and lodging costs.

IMPORTANT: If you apply for the workshop/symposium financial aid, please make sure that you register after receiving notification from the organizer.

Submit your essay and request for financial aid no later than April 10th, 2020.
Recipients will be notified by April 17th, 2020. You must register by April 30, 2020 no matter you receive a financial aid or not. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact Dr. Sixue Chen (schen@ufl.edu).
